2020–21 McNeese State Cowboys Basketball Team
The 2020–21 McNeese State Cowboys basketball team represented McNeese State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cowboys, led by third-year head coach Heath Schroyer, played their home games at Burton Coliseum, due to hurricane damage at the HH&P Complex, in Lake Charles, Louisiana as members of the Southland Conference. Previous season The Cowboys finished the 2019–20 season 15–17, 10–10 in Southland play to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place. They lost in the first round of the Southland tournament to Lamar. Heath Schroyer
Heath Martin Schroyer (born March 15, 1972) is an American college basketball coach, currently the athletic director at McNeese State Cowboys and Cowgirls, McNeese State, where he was head coach of the McNeese State Cowboys basketball, men's basketball team from 2018 until 2021. He has had previous head coaching stops at Portland State Vikings, Portland State University (2002–05), Wyoming Cowboys men's basketball, University of Wyoming (2007–11) and UT Martin Skyhawks men's basketball, University of Tennessee-Martin (2014–16). Playing career Schroyer, born in Walkersville, Maryland, played high school basketball under head coach Morgan Wootten at DeMatha Catholic High School. Pinnacle Bank Arena
Pinnacle Bank Arena is a 15,500-seat indoor arena in the West Haymarket District of Lincoln, Nebraska. It was completed in 2013 and replaced the Bob Devaney Sports Center as the home of the University of Nebraska's men's and women's basketball teams. A turn back tax to support a $25 million bond was approved by Lincoln voters on May 11, 2010. On December 6, 2011, it was announced that Pinnacle Bank purchased the naming rights to the arena, at a cost of $11.25 million for 25 years.
