2020–21 King Cup
The 2020–21 King Cup, or The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, was the 46th edition of the King Cup since its establishment in 1957. The tournament commenced on 16 December 2020 and concluded with the final on 27 May 2021. The number of teams was reduced from 64 to 16 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia. The competition was limited to the 16 teams participating in the 2020–21 Saudi Professional League. Al-Hilal are the defending champions after defeating Al-Nassr 2–1 in the final. Al-Hilal were eliminated by Al-Fateh in the round of 16. Al-Faisaly won their first title after a 3–2 win over Al-Taawoun in the final on 27 May 2021. As winners of the competition, Al-Faisaly qualified for the 2022 AFC Champions League group stage. Kings Cup (Saudi Arabia)
The King Cup (sometimes spelled King's), officially known as The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Cup ( ar, كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين), is the Saudi Arabian football knockout cup competition, run by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. The cup was created in 1957 and was played until 1990. It was re-launched again in 2007 as ''King's Cup of Champions'', and was played by only the top 6 finishers of the Professional League plus the Crown Prince Cup and Federation Cup winners. Since 2014, it was renamed as ''King's Cup'', the competition returned to its roots by implementing the old format. 153 clubs have taken part in the tournament. The International Football Association Board (IFAB) is the body that determines the Laws of the Game of association football. IFAB was founded in 1886 to agree standardised Laws for international competition, and has since acted as the "guardian" of the internationally used Laws. Al-Qadsiah Football Club ( ar, نادي القادسية) is a Saudi Arabian professional football club that competes in the Saudi First Division League. They are based in Khobar and their home ground is the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium. Abha Football Club () is a professional Saudi Arabian association football club based in Abha that is currently playing in the Saudi Professional League, the highest tier of Saudi football.
