2020–21 Kennesaw State Owls Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Kennesaw State Owls men's basketball team represented Kennesaw State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Owls, led by 2nd-year head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim, played their home games at the KSU Convocation Center in Kennesaw, Georgia as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 5-19, 2-13 in ASUN Play to finish in last place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the ASUN tournament to Liberty. Previous season The Owls finished the 2019–20 season 1–28, 0–16 in ASUN play to finish in last place. In turn, they failed to qualify for the ASUN tournament. Amir Abdur-Rahim
Amir Abdur-Rahim (born March 18, 1981) is a former American basketball player and current coach. He is the head coach of the Kennesaw State Owls men's basketball team. Playing career Amir Abdur-Rahim played at Joseph Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. After one season at Garden City Community College, Abdur-Rahim transferred to Southeastern Louisiana where he was a three-time All-Southland Conference selection playing for Billy Kennedy. He graduated seventh all-time in career points and second all-time in three-pointers made and steals. Coaching career Abdur-Rahim began coaching in 2006 serving as a graduate assistant at Murray State for two seasons under Kennedy before being promoted to a full-time assistant coach. He stayed with the Racers until 2011, when he joined the staff at Georgia Tech as the director of player development for one season before becoming an assistant coach at the College of Charleston in 2012. Campbell High School is a public high school and International Baccalaureate magnet school located in Smyrna, Georgia (U.S.), northwest of Atlanta. It is part of the Cobb County School District. Langston Hughes High School (LHHS) is a public secondary school located in Fairburn, Georgia, United States, a suburb of metropolitan Atlanta. Newnan is a city in Metro Atlanta and the county seat of Coweta County, Georgia, about southwest of Atlanta. Its population was 42,549 at the 2020 census, up from 33,039 in 2010. Wake Forest Demon Deacons Men's Basketball
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represents Wake Forest University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Wake Forest made the Final Four in 1962 and through the years, the program has produced many NBA players. The Demon Deacons have won the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament four times, in 1961, 1962, 1995, and 1996. The current coach is Steve Forbes, who was hired on April 30, 2020.
