The 2020–21 Denver Nuggets season was the 45th season of the Denver Nuggets, franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the franchise's 54th season of existence overall. On May 3, the Nuggets officially clinched a playoff spot for the third consecutive season. In the First Round, the Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in six games, before getting swept in the Conference Semi-Finals by the Phoenix Suns. Nikola Jokić was voted league NBA Most Valuable Player, MVP for the regular season, thereby becoming the first player in franchise history to win the award. Michael Malone (basketball)
Michael Malone (born September 15, 1971) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach of the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also been the head coach of the Sacramento Kings. Malone previously served as an assistant coach of the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, New Orleans Hornets, and Golden State Warriors. Early life and education Born in the Astoria, Queens, Astoria neighborhood of the New York City borough Queens, Malone is the son of Brendan Malone, a former NBA head coach. After graduating from Seton Hall Preparatory School, Malone attended prep school at Worcester Academy in the 1988–89 school year. Jordi Fernández Torres (born December 27, 1982) is a Spanish basketball coach, currently the associate head coach for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA) as well as the head coach of the Canadian men's national team. Michael Lamar Porter Jr. (born June 29, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Paul Millsap (born February 10, 1985) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
