2020–21 Czech National Football League
The 2020–21 Czech National Football League (known as the ''Fortuna národní liga'' for sponsorship reasons) is the 28th season of the Czech Republic's second tier Association football, football league. The league is being played with 14 clubs due to uneven promotion/relegation with the Czech First League at the end of the previous season. Two matches in the third round of fixtures were postponed due to coronavirus concerns. Eight players from FC Slavoj Vyšehrad, Vyšehrad tested positive, resulting in their match against FC MAS Táborsko, Táborsko having to be played at a later date. Due to players from Vlašim's A, B and junior teams testing positive, their away match against Třinec could not be played on the originally scheduled date either. Czech National Football League
The Czech National Football League ( cs, Fotbalová národní liga, ''FNL''), currently known as Fortuna národní liga due to sponsorship reasons, is the second level professional association football league in the Czech Republic. Before 2013 it was known as 2. liga or Druhá liga. The top two teams each season are eligible for promotion to the Czech First League. The league replaced the I.ČNL (I. Česká národní liga; First Czech National League), which had been established following the end of the nationwide Czechoslovak Second League in 1977. The league became known as simply ''II. liga'' (Second League) in 1993 following the establishment of the Czech Republic as an independent state. Structure There are 16 clubs in the FNL. Czech Fourth Division
The Czech Fourth Division ( cs, Divize) is the fourth tier of football in the Czech Republic. The level consists of six divisions, named Divize A-F, Divize A-C each holding 16 teams and Divize D-F each holding 14 teams. The top teams from Divize A, B and C are promoted to the Bohemian Football League while the top teams from Divize D, E and F are promoted to the Moravian–Silesian Football League. The number of relegated teams varies between the divisions, the destination of the relegated teams is one of the 14 Regional Divisions at level 5 of the pyramid. The format of the three Bohemian divisions (A, B and C) is unconventional in that it does not allow draws. Czech News Agency
The Czech News Agency ( cs, Česká tisková kancelář), abbreviated to ČTK, is a national public service news agency in the Czech Republic. It publishes in Czech and English. It discontinued its Slovak language service on 1 January 2011. Founded on 28 October 1918, on the same day as Czechoslovakia's formation, the company has been owned by the government and used by the various regimes in the Czech lands since then. Following the Velvet Revolution of 1989, the government ceased interfering in editorial decisions. In 1993 the government relinquished control of the agency, which has since been governed by a board of seven people elected by the lower house of Parliament. Members of the board are not allowed to be politically active. The agency's state subsidy was discontinued in 1996. FK Viktoria Žižkov
FK Viktoria Žižkov is one of the oldest football clubs in the Czech Republic, from Žižkov (since 1922 part of Prague). It plays in the Bohemian Football League, the third tier of football in the country. The club won the Czechoslovak First League title in the 1927–28 season.
