2020–21 Belgian National Division 1
The 2020–21 Belgian National Division 1 was the fifth season of the third-tier football league in Belgium and the first under its new name after changing from ''First Amateur Division'' to ''National Division 1''. Eventually, the season was cancelled in January 2021 with just a few matches played, as measures taken by the Belgian government against the spread of COVID-19 prohibited amateur football. Just before the season started, Roeselare went bankrupt. Initially, it seemed as though a third-party would be willing to take over the club, with Roeselare forfeiting its first two matches while negotiations continued, eventually however the club folded and the league was to be played with only 15 teams. All results were removed and Roeselare ended in last place. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league had started later than initially planned, with the first matches played only in September. Mid-October, with only the first four matchdays partially completed, the league was stoppe ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Belgian First Amateur Division
The Belgian National Division 1, commonly referred to as simply Eerste Nationale (in Dutch) or Nationale 1 (in French) is a semi-professional and the third-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian First Division B. It was created by the Royal Belgian Football Association in 2016, coming in at the third level and pushing all divisions one level down. Until the 2019–20 season, it was known as the ''Belgian First Amateur Division'', but was renamed due to the negative connotation of the word ''amateur''. History The Belgian First Amateur Division was created in 2016 following an overhaul of the Belgian football league system which saw the number of professional clubs reduced to 24. As a result, from the third level and below only amateur clubs remain. The two remaining levels above the Belgian Provincial leagues were reformed into three amateur levels, namely the Belgian First Amateur Division, the Belgian Second Amateur Division and the ... 2019–20 Belgian First Division B
The 2019–20 season of the Belgian First Division B began in August 2019 and was scheduled to end in April 2020 but will eventually conclude on 2 August 2020 with the return leg of the promotion playoff. Since mid-March all matches had been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, which was just a few days before the return leg of the promotion play-offs was to be played. A few weeks later, Lokeren was declared bankrupt and ceased to exist, while both Roeselare and Virton were refused a professional football license due to financial difficulties, meaning they were both relegated and no relegation play-offs were necessary. On 15 May 2020, the general meeting of the Belgian Pro League clubs decided to end the season, with the exception of the return leg of the promotion play-offs. OH Leuven and Beerschot were forced to find a date and location for the return leg to decide promotion, before the start of the 2020–21 season on 7 August 2020. In case both teams did not come to ... 2020–21 In European Third Tier Association Football Leagues
The dash is a punctuation mark consisting of a long horizontal line. It is similar in appearance to the hyphen but is longer and sometimes higher from the baseline. The most common versions are the endash , generally longer than the hyphen but shorter than the minus sign; the emdash , longer than either the en dash or the minus sign; and the horizontalbar , whose length varies across typefaces but tends to be between those of the en and em dashes. History In the early 1600s, in Okes-printed plays of William Shakespeare, dashes are attested that indicate a thinking pause, interruption, mid-speech realization, or change of subject. The dashes are variously longer (as in King Lear reprinted 1619) or composed of hyphens (as in Othello printed 1622); moreover, the dashes are often, but not always, prefixed by a comma, colon, or semicolon. In 1733, in Jonathan Swift's ''On Poetry'', the terms ''break'' and ''dash'' are attested for and marks: Blot out, correct, insert, ... Provinces Of Belgium
The Kingdom of Belgium is divided into three regions. Two of these regions, Flanders and Wallonia, are each subdivided into five provinces. The third region, Brussels, does not belong to any province and nor is it subdivided into provinces. Instead, it has amalgamated both regional and provincial functions into a single "Capital Region" administration. Most of the provinces take their name from earlier duchies and counties of similar location, while their territory is mostly based on the departments installed during French annexation. At the time of the creation of Belgium in 1830, only nine provinces existed, including the province of Brabant, which held the City of Brussels. In 1995, Brabant was split into three areas: Flemish Brabant, which became a part of the region of Flanders; Walloon Brabant, which became part of the region of Wallonia; and the Brussels-Capital Region, which became a third region. These divisions reflected political tensions between the French-speaki ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Belgian Professional Football License
The Belgian professional football license is a license that any team qualified to play in the professional divisions (Belgian First Division A and Belgian First Division B) must have obtained. If a qualified team did not obtain the license, it is relegated to the Belgian First Amateur Division. A similar license is given to clubs in the Belgian First Amateur Division, but it has less requirements. Requirements To be considered a professional club, it must adhere to the following requirements: *play in or qualify for the Belgian First Division A or Belgian First Division B; *possess of at least 20 players having the status of remunerated player; *prove that it is financially healthy and has enough credit to at least get through the next season under normal circumstances; *prove that the players' wages are being paid, that debts to the Royal Belgian Football Association have been paid or will be paid, that debts between clubs have been paid or will be paid and that all tax payments h ... Full-time Job
A full-time job is employment in which workers work a minimum number of hours defined as such by their employer. Overview Full-time employment often comes with benefits that are not typically offered to part-time, temporary, or flexible workers, such as annual leave, sick leave, and health insurance. Part-time jobs are mistakenly thought by some to not be careers. However, legislation exists to stop employers from discriminating against part-time workers so this should not be a factor when making decisions on career advancement. They generally pay more than part-time jobs per hour, and this is similarly discriminatory if the pay decision is based on part-time status as a primary factor. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not define full-time employment or part-time employment. This is a matter generally to be determined by the employer (US Department of Labor). The definition by the employer can vary and is generally published in a company's Employee Handbook. Companies co ... Self-employment
Self-employment is the state of working for oneself rather than an employer. Tax authorities will generally view a person as self-employed if the person chooses to be recognised as such or if the person is generating income for which a tax return needs to be filed. In the real world, the critical issue for the tax authorities is not whether a person is engaged in a business activity (called "trading" even when referring to the provision of a service) but whether the activity is profitable and therefore potentially taxable. In other words, the activity of trading is likely to be ignored if no profit is present, so occasional and hobby- or enthusiast-based economic activity is generally ignored by the tax authorities. Self-employed people are usually classified as a sole proprietor (or sole trader), independent contractor, or as a member of a partnership. Self-employed people generally find their own work rather than being provided with work by an employer and instead earn income from ... In 2015, Wetteren folded and merged with another club, liberating the matricule which was sold to people wanting to revive the former RWDM with matricule 47 which folded in 2002. As such the new club was named RWDM47. The club has been on the rise ever since winning two consecutive promotions from the fifth tier to the fourth and fourth to third.
