2020–21 BIBL Season
The 2020–21 BIBL season is the 12th edition of Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL). Besides 6 teams from Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia, 12 teams from Israel joined the competition, after temporary suspension of 2020-2021 Israeli Basketball League due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These 12 teams played inside of Israel in first round of regular season and the best two teams joined the other 4 Balkan teams, which qualified from the Balkan group. Teams First round Group A Group B Group C Group D Group E Second round playoff The winners from groups A, B, C and D will compete in a single match to qualify for the second round. The Group A winner will play against the Group C winner, and the Group B winner will play against the winner from Group D. Balkan International Basketball League
The Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL), also known as the Balkan League, is a multinational professional basketball league that features mostly clubs from the Balkans. The league included teams from countries as Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania and Israel. The most recent league champion is Hapoel Galil Elyon from Israel. Purpose The purpose of the Balkan International Basketball League is to provide competitive international play for clubs in the Balkans that would otherwise be unable to participate in international basketball. The league achieves this by providing financial support to all participating clubs in order to ease the costs that make international play difficult. Among other milestones, the league is also the first international league of its kind to include teams from Kosovo. Maccabi Rishon LeZion (basketball)
Maccabi Rishon LeZion ( he, מכבי ראשון לציון) is a basketball club based in Rishon LeZion, Israel. The club plays in the Liga Leumit, the second tier of Israeli basketball. The greatest achievement of the club has been winning the 2016 Israeli Basketball Premier League championship. The club is one of the most popular basketball clubs in Israel, and has played in the Israeli Basketball Premier League since 1989. Holon Toto Hall
Holon Toto Hall is an indoor arena that is located in the Tel Aviv District city of Holon, Israel. The arena is mainly used to host basketball games. It has a seating capacity of 5,500. History Holon Toto Hall was opened in March 2015. In 2016, the arena hosted the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships. Holon ( he, חוֹלוֹן ) is a city on the central coastal strip of Israel, south of Tel Aviv. Holon is part of the metropolitan Gush Dan area. In it had a population of . KK Ibar is a professional basketball club from Rožaje, Montenegro. The team currently competes in the Erste Basketball League. Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other. KK TFT ( mk, КК ТФТ), also known as TFT Skopje, is a basketball club based in Skopje, North Macedonia. They play in the Macedonian First League from the season 2020–21. History KK TFT was founded in 2018 in Skopje by a group of enthusiasts from Taftalidže settlement of the Skopje's Karpoš Municipality.
