2020–21 Athletic Bilbao Season
The 2020–21 season was the 122nd season in the existence of Athletic Bilbao and the club's 90th consecutive season in the top flight of Spanish football. In addition to the domestic league, Athletic Bilbao participated in this season's editions of the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España. The season covered the period from 20 July 2020 to 30 June 2021, with the late start to the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. The season was the first since the 2011–12 without Aritz Aduriz, who retired in May 2020. Mikel Vesga Arruti (; born 8 April 1993) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Athletic Bilbao as a defensive midfielder. Aritz Aduriz Zubeldia (; ; born 11 February 1981) is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played as a striker. He spent most of his career with Athletic Bilbao, scoring 172 goals across all competitions for the team over three spells. He also surpassed a century of goals (104) in La Liga, in which he additionally represented Mallorca and Valencia. COVID-19 Pandemic In Spain

2020–21 Supercopa De España
The 2020–21 Supercopa de España was the 37th edition of the Supercopa de España, an annual football competition for clubs in the Spanish football league system that were successful in its major competitions in the preceding season. It was the second straight edition played under the new format with four teams. They included 2019–20 Copa del Rey winners Real Sociedad and 2019–20 La Liga winners Real Madrid, 2019–20 Copa del Rey runners-up Athletic Bilbao and 2019–20 La Liga runners-up Barcelona. The competition was initially supposed to be held in Saudi Arabia like the previous year, but restrictions related to the global COVID-19 pandemic forced it to remain in Spain.
