2020–21 Ardal SE
The 2020–21 Ardal SE season (also known as the 2020–21 Floodlighting and Electrical Services Ardal SE season for sponsorship reasons) was to be the first season of the new third-tier southern region football in Welsh football pyramid, part of the Ardal Leagues. Teams were to play each other twice on a home and away basis. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Wales, the Football Association of Wales cancelled the 2020–21 seasons of the Ardal Leagues and below. Teams Normally, the league is made up of 16 teams competing for one automatic promotion place to Cymru South, whilst the second place team goes into a play-off with the second place team of Ardal SW. Three teams are relegated to tier 4. Ardal SE
The Ardal Leagues are a association football, football league in Wales. The word "ardal" translates as "district" in English, with Wales split into four regions at this level. They have clubs with amateur/semi-professional status and sit at the third level of the Welsh football league system. The first year of their operation would have been 2020–21 but the 2020–21 Ardal NE, 2020–21 Ardal North East season, 2020–21 Ardal NW, 2020–21 Ardal North West season, 2020–21 Ardal SE, 2020–21 Ardal South East season and 2020–21 Ardal SW, 2020–21 Ardal South West season were all cancelled. The inaugural season was moved to 2021–22. The creation of the leagues mark the first time the Football Association of Wales owns and is administering tier 3 of the Welsh league system. Monmouth ( , ; cy, Trefynwy meaning "town on the Monnow") is a town and community in Wales. It is situated where the River Monnow joins the River Wye, from the Wales–England border. Monmouth is northeast of Cardiff, and west of London. It is within the Monmouthshire local authority, and the parliamentary constituency of Monmouth. Abertillery (; cy, Abertyleri) is a town and a community of the Ebbw Fach valley in the historic county of Monmouthshire, Wales. Following local government reorganisation it became part of the Blaenau Gwent County Borough administrative area. The surrounding landscape borders the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Blaenavon World heritage Site. Formerly a major coal mining centre the Abertillery area was transformed in the 1990s using EU and other funding to return to a greener environment. The Gwent County League (known as the Autocentres Gwent County FA League for sponsorship reasons) is a football league in South Wales, consisting of 3 divisions, named the Premier Division, Division One and Division Two.
