Vikingskipet ("The Viking Ship"), officially known as Hamar Olympic Hall ( no, Hamar olympiahall), is an indoor multi-use sport and event venue in Hamar, Norway. It was built as the speed skating rink for the 1994 Winter Olympics, and has since also hosted events and tournaments in ice speedway, rally, association football, bandy, ice sledge speed racing, flying disc and track cycling. The arena is also used for concerts, trade fair and the annual computer party The Gathering. It is the home arena of Hamar IL bandy team. The venue is owned by Hamar Municipality, and along with Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre is run by the municipal Hamar Olympiske Anlegg. Vikingskipet has a capacity for 10,600 spectators during sporting events and 20,000 during concerts. The arena was designed by Niels Torp, and Biong & Biong, and opened on 19 December 1992. Kimi Goetz (born August 13, 1994) is an American Speed skating, speed skater who represented the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Early life Raised in Flemington, New Jersey, Goetz got into roller skating as a child. She graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 2012 and headed out to Salt Lake City, where she saw other inline skaters who had made the transition to speed skating on ice. Career During the first day of the 2018 U.S. Olympic Trials, Goetz fell and hit her head and suffered a concussion after a skate technician at the event failed to bolt her blade into her boot properly. As a result, she failed to make the Olympic team. During the summer of 2018, she switched from short track speed skating to long track speed skating. Ida Njåtun (; born 6 February 1991) is a Norwegian speed skater specialising in the 1500 and 3000 metres distances. She represents the club Asker SK. Njåtun won her first medal at a Norwegian senior championship in 2008 (then aged 16), and became Norwegian allround champion in 2011. Njåtun withdrew from defending her national title the following season due to illness, but came back to win four successive gold medals in the allround championships from 2013 to 2016, and again in 2019.
