2020 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships
The 2020 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships were the 22nd such series of tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams were supposed to play at six tiers of competition. However, four of the six tournaments were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2021 competition and finalized seeding for the 2022 Winter Olympics qualification. Championship (Top Division) The tournament would have been played in Halifax and Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, from 31 March to 10 April 2020. It was cancelled on 7 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2019 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships
The 2019 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships were the 21st such series of tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated at several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2020 competition. Hungary Women's National Ice Hockey Team
The Hungarian women's national ice hockey team () represents Hungary at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women's World Championship and other senior international women's tournaments. The women's national team is organized by the Magyar Jégkorong Szövetség (Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation). The Hungarian women's national team was ranked 12th in the world in 2020. They hosted and won the 2019 World Championship Division I Group A tournament in Budapest. The victory earned promotion to the Top Division for the first time in team history. Ice hockey increased in popularity among women in Hungary during the later part of the 2010s. China Women's National Ice Hockey Team
The Chinese women's national ice hockey team () represents China at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Women's Championships, the Asian Winter Games, and other international competitions. The women's national team is governed by the Chinese Ice Hockey Association. China's national women's program is ranked twentieth in the world by the IIHF and has 808 active players as of 2020.
