2020 Washington Justice Season
The 2020 Washington Justice season was the second season of Washington Justice's existence in the Overwatch League. The Justice planned to host a league-high five homestand weekends in the 2020 season; the first three would take place at The Anthem, while the second two would be at the Entertainment and Sports Arena. While the first two homestands at took place, all other homestand events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On June 5, the Justice parted ways with head coach Seetoh "JohnGalt" Jian Qing. On June 17, Washington promoted assistant coach Han "Sup7eme" Seung-jun to head coach. After finishing the regular season with a 4–17 record, the Justice swept both the Vancouver Titans and Dallas Fuel in the North America play-in tournament to qualify to the season playoffs. The Anthem (music Venue)
The Anthem is a music venue and auditorium in the Southwest Waterfront neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The venue opened on October 12, 2017, with a performance opened by The Struts and headlined by the Foo Fighters. The Anthem is part of The Wharf, a comprehensive redevelopment of the Southwest Waterfront area. The 57,000-square-foot venue, which cost $60 million (USD), has a movable stage and backdrop that allows capacity to vary from 2,500 to 6,000. Balconies are closer to the stage than most venues. The venue is operated by I.M.P., which also manages Washington's 9:30 Club and Lincoln Theatre and Maryland's Merriweather Post Pavilion. The Anthem also hosts conventions. Houston Outlaws
The Houston Outlaws are an American professional ''Overwatch'' esports team based in Houston, Texas. The Outlaws compete in the Overwatch League (OWL) as a member of the league's West region. Founded in 2017, Houston Outlaws is one of the league's twelve founding members and is one of two professional Overwatch teams based in Texas (the other, Dallas Fuel). Originally, the Outlaws were established by OpTic Gaming and then acquired by Infinite Esports. The Immortals Gaming Club (IGC) acquired Infinite Esports in 2019, marking the first change of ownership of an OWL franchise. However, IGC already had ownership of Los Angeles Valiant, and while the League allowed IGC to operate both teams, had set strict standards to keep the teams independent. Overwatch Contenders (OWC) is an international esports league for the video game ''Overwatch'' that is organized by Blizzard Entertainment. The series acts as the development league for aspiring Overwatch League (OWL) professionals.
