2020 Settimana Internazionale Di Coppi E Bartali
The 2020 Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali was a road bicycle racing, road cycling cycling stage race, stage race that took place between 1 and 4 September 2020 in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It was the 35th edition of the Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali and was part of the 2020 UCI Europe Tour as a category 2.1 event. The race was originally scheduled to be held from 25 to 29 March, but the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, COVID-19 pandemic forced its cancellation. However, in May, with the new UCI post-lockdown racing calendar, the race was rescheduled for 1 to 4 September. Teams Nine UCI WorldTeams, eleven UCI Professional Continental, UCI ProTeams, and eight UCI Continental teams made up the twenty-eight teams that participated in the race. 2020 UCI Europe Tour
The 2020 UCI Europe Tour is the sixteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2020 season began on 25 January 2020 with the GP Belek and ended on 14 October 2020 with the 2020 Scheldeprijs, Scheldeprijs. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Riccione (; rgn, Arciôn ) is a ''comune'' in the Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. As of 2018, Riccione had an estimated population of 35,003. History The oldest archaeological findings in Riccione's area date to the 2nd century BC, although it was most likely settled in advance. At the time of the Roman Republic, it was known as ''Vicus Popilius'' and a bridge over the Rio Melo river. Team Time Trial
A team time trial (TTT) is a road bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock (see individual time trial for a more detailed description of ITT events). The winning team in a TTT is determined by the comparing the times of (usually) the fourth-finishing rider in each team (though the relevant finish position can be otherwise specified in advance by the race organisers). This means that each team will try to get their first four (at least) riders across the finish line in a tight group: it is actually a disadvantage for any rider to finish far in advance of the fourth rider, as by staying back a faster rider can help the fourth rider to get a quicker time.
