The 2020 San Marino and Rimini Riviera motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the Gran Premio Lenovo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini) was the seventh round of the 2020 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the sixth round of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship. It was held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Misano Adriatico on 13 September 2020. The 2020 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 72nd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The season was notably characterized by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the absence of perennial title favourite Marc Márquez due to a serious arm injury, the high number of wins from different riders, teams and constructors, and the Yamaha engine controversy. Xavier Siméon (born 31 August 1989) is a Grand Prix motorcycle racer from Belgium, competing in the MotoE World Cup. He is the winner of the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 Championship and the 2006 European Superstock 600 Championship and the winner of the 2021 24 Hours Moto of Le Mans endurance race on Suzuki together with Sylvain Guintoli and Gregg Black. Dominique Aegerter (born 30 September 1990) is a Swiss professional road racer of solo motorcycles, competing in both the MotoE World Championship and the Supersport World Championship.
