2020 STCC TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship
The 2020 STCC TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship was the tenth overall season of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship and the fourth under the internationally recognised TCR formula. It was also the third time the championship has run under the STCC TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship banner. Originally due to start on 15 May at Ring Knutstorp and end on 4 October at Mantorp Park, the season start was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A revised calendar was due to be published sometime after Easter. Robert Dahlgren and Brink Motorsport are the reigning Drivers' and Teams' champions respectively. The is a series of high-performance hatchback/ sedan models based on the Civic, developed and produced by Honda since September 1997. Karlskoga () is a locality and the seat of Karlskoga Municipality, Sweden. Located within Örebro County, 45 km (28 mi) west of Örebro, and 10 km (6 mi) north of Degerfors. Karlskoga Motorstadion, also known as Gelleråsen Arena, is the oldest permanent motorsport race track in Sweden. The circuit is located north of Karlskoga. The layout is such that the whole track can be seen from all spectator areas. It is currently authorised for European Championship rounds of road racing and Swedish Touring Car Championship events. Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix is a vintage motor sports car race held annually on the grounds of Bellahøj in Copenhagen, Denmark. It has been arranged since 2001 (at Fælledparken from 2001 to 2012) and takes place in the first weekend of August. Prince Joachim of Denmark is a regular participator along with numerous Danish and International professional racing drivers. Cars compete separately in various classes, including a large number of vehicles in the pre-World War II class. Around 200 vintage cars participate, such as Bentley's from the 1920s, Bugatti's from the 1930s, Jaguar's and Porsche's from the 1950s and Lotus Cortina's, Alfa Romeo's and Jaguar E's from the 1960s. Anderstorp Raceway
Anderstorp Raceway, previously known as Scandinavian Raceway, is a motorsport race track in Anderstorp (Gislaved Municipality), Sweden and the sole Nordic host of a Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, when the Swedish Grand Prix was held for six years between 1973 and 1978. Track history The track was built on marshlands in 1968 and became an extremely popular venue in the 1970s, just as Swede Ronnie Peterson was at the height of his career. It has a long straight (called ''Flight Straight'', which is also used as an aircraft runway), as well as several banked corners, making car setup an engineering compromise. Unusually, the pit lane is located halfway round the lap. The raceway hosted six Formula One Swedish Grand Prix events in the 1970s. The TCR Denmark Touring Car Series is a touring car racing series based in Denmark. The TCR Denmark Touring Car Series debuted in 2020, running five events. Background The TCR Touring Car formula is recognised as a popular and affordable type of series in motorsport. The TCR Denmark Touring Car Championship will open up new opportunities for Danish drivers and will be a new way for national drivers to move up to larger TCR international series among more professional drivers. 2020 TCR Denmark Touring Car Series
The 2020 TCR Denmark Touring Car Series (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2020 HC Container TCR Denmark Touring Car Series) is the inaugural season of the TCR Denmark Touring Car Series. The season started on the 18/19 April at Jyllandsringen and will end on the 10/11 October at Padborg Park. Calendar Five events are set to take place in Denmark. Two of the former rounds were scheduled to be supporting the STCC TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship. Each round will consist of three 15-minute and 1-lap races, the starting order for the first race will be based on the results from qualifying while the second race will utilise a reversed grid of the top eight cars from qualifying. Casper Elgaard
Casper Elgaard (born 5 April 1978) is a Danish auto racing driver. He has competed several times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 2001, as well as regular drives in the Le Mans Series. In 2008 he finished second in the LMP2 class of Le Mans for Team Essex in a Porsche RS Spyder. He also won his class at the 2008 1000 km of Monza.
