The 2020 Reno 1868 FC season was the club's fourth season of existence and their fourth in the United Soccer League Championship (USL-C), the second tier of American soccer. This article covers the period from November 18, 2019, the day after the 2019 USL-C Playoff Final, to the conclusion of the 2020 USL-C Playoff Final, scheduled for November 12–16, 2020. Reno 1868 FC
Reno 1868 FC was an American professional soccer team based in Reno, Nevada. Founded in 2015, the team made its debut in the USL Championship in March 2017 and ceased operations after the 2020 season. History Previously, northern Nevada has had three other professional minor league soccer teams: Reno Rattlers, Northern Nevada Aces, and Nevada Wonders. Nevertheless, Reno now has a large youth soccer base and growing popularity of the sport. On September 16, 2015, USL announced that they would expand to Reno, Nevada starting in 2017. The club would be owned by Herbert Simon. To generate interest and increased fan involvement with a successful acquisition of a team, the new "USL Reno 2017" team would be named through a contest. Aidan Apodaca
Aidan Apodaca (born May 24, 1996) is an American soccer player. Career College Apodaca spent his entire college career at California Baptist University. He made a total of 68 appearances for the Lancers and tallied 48 goals and 12 assists. While at the college, Apodaca played for Premier Development League side Southern California Seahorses, during their 2016 season. Professional On January 21, 2018, Apodaca was selected 55th overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union. Sacramento Gold is an American soccer team based in Sacramento, California, United States. Founded in 2009, the team plays in National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national amateur league at the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the West Region, Golden Gate Conference. The team plays its home games in the stadium at Capital Christian School, where they have played since 2017. Previously, they played in the stadium at River City High School. PayPal Park (formerly Earthquakes Stadium and Avaya Stadium) is a soccer-specific stadium in San Jose, California, United States, and is the home of Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes. Kevin Partida
Kevin Partida (born March 10, 1995) is an American professional soccer player who plays for Orange County SC in the USL Championship. Career College and amateur Partida earned All-Region honors during his senior year at Sparks High School, a season which also saw the team win second place in the state. Partida played for the UNLV Rebels from 2013 to 2017, redshirting during the 2016 season due to a knee injury. During his time in Las Vegas, he earned three WAC all-tournament awards. He was also a part of the team that went to the 2014 WAC championships and the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. Christopher Elliott "Chris" Wondolowski (born January 28, 1983) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a forward. Nicknamed Wondo, he scored 171 career goals, the most in Major League Soccer history, and he was MLS's top scorer in the 2010 and 2012 seasons, also being named the 2012 Most Valuable Player, and was one of the top strikers during his time playing in Major League Soccer. Magnus Lennart Eriksson (born 8 April 1990) is a Swedish professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Midfielder (association football), midfielder for Djurgårdens IF in Allsvenskan. Club career AIK Eriksson started his career in the academy at AIK Fotboll, AIK. He was promoted to the first team in 2006 under the management of Rikard Norling.
