The 2020 Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie was the 43rd season of the German endurance series (formerly VLN) run at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and first run as the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS). The season began on 27 June and ended prematurely on 29 August. Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie
The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a long "North loop" track, built in the 1920s, around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. The north loop is long and contains more than of elevation change from its lowest to highest points. Jackie Stewart nicknamed the track "The Green Hell". Originally, the track featured four configurations: the -long ("Whole Course"), which in turn consisted of the ("North Loop") and the ("South Loop"). There was also a warm-up loop called ("Finish Loop") or ("Concrete Loop"), around the pit area. Fabian Schiller
Fabian Schiller (born 24 May 1997) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Career Junior formula Schiller began his racing career in karting at the age of 12, competing in the ADAC Kart Masters series. In 2012, he began competing in single-seater formula cars, taking part in the Formula BMW Talent Cup. The following season, Schiller stepped up to compete in the ADAC Formel Masters championship, competing for the Schiller Motorsport team run by his father and uncle. He would finish 11th in his first season in the competition, scoring his first victory at the Lausitzring. After two years of competition and three race victories in the series, Schiller graduated to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, signing with Team West-Tec for the 2015 season. Dirk Werner
Dirk Werner (born 25 May 1981 in Hannover, Lower Saxony) is a German Porsche factory racing driver. Born in Hannover, Werner was 2007 and 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series champion for Farnbacher-Loles Racing driving a Porsche 911 and finished third in the GT Class in the 2011 American Le Mans Series season. Thomas Preining
Thomas Preining (born 21 July 1998) is an Austrian racing driver who is the 2018 German Porsche Carrera Cup champion. Career Formula 4 Preining's first season in single seaters was in 2015 with German team ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg where he competed at the first two rounds in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship where he got a podium in only his third race at this level at Oschersleben. Preining finished the season with 16 points. Preining competed in another F4 championship in 2015 where he raced at the first round in the Italian F4 Championship at Vallelunga with German team Mücke Motorsport. His best finish was 10th. In 2016 he returned to the ADAC F4 grid for the full season but this time racing for Austrian team Lechner Racing. Dennis Olsen (born 14 April 1996) is a Norwegian racing driver currently competing in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters with SSR Performance. He is a former Porsche Junior Driver and former member of the Red Bull Racing Simulator Development Program. Career Karting Born in Våler, Norway, Olsen began Karting in his native Norway aged six. After winning numerous junior titles, he stepped up to the KF3 class in 2009, winning the Norwegian title. After competing in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship he transferred to GT-racing in various GT3 championships. John Shoffner (born July 25, 1955) is an American racing driver, investor, and pilot. In May 2021, he paid for a seat on Axiom Mission 2, the second entirely-private crew mission to the International Space Station. Shoffner served as the pilot of the Crew Dragon crew vehicle, which launched on May 21, 2023. Biography Shoffner was born in Fairbanks, Alaska. He spent most of his career in Knoxville, Tennessee.
