2020 Munster Senior Football Championship
The 2020 Munster Senior Football Championship was the 2020 installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship organised by the Munster GAA. The fixtures were announced on RTÉ Radio on 8 October 2019. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games, all GAA activity was suspended until late in the year. On 22 November 2020, Tipperary won the title after a 0-17 to 0-14 win against Cork in the final. It was Tipperary's first Munster title in 85 years. To mark the centenary of Bloody Sunday, Tipperary wore special commemorative jerseys in white and green in the final, a replica of the colours worn by the Tipperary team which played Dublin in Croke Park in 1920. David Power (Gaelic Football Manager)
David Power (born 1983) is an Irish Gaelic football manager. He has been manager of the Tipperary county team since 2019. Power previously managed Wexford. In 2020, he led Tipperary to a first Munster Senior Football Championship title for 85 years. Career Born in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary, Power played for the Kilsheelan–Kilcash club. Power went on to become involved in team management and coaching. An All-Ireland-winning manager with Tipperary in the minor grade, he has also taken charge of the Tipperary under-21 and junior teams. Power was the manager of the senior Wexford county team from 2014 until 2016. In September 2019, Power was named as the new manager of the Tipperary senior football team on a two-year term. Gary Brennan
Gary Brennan is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Clondegad club and at senior level for the Clare county team. He also plays club hurling for Ballyea. Playing career Club Inter-county On 31 July 2016, Brennan started in midfield as Clare were defeated by Kerry in the 2016 All-Ireland Quarter-finals at Croke Park. His performances throughout 2016 earned him an All-Star award nomination. In January 2021, Brennan announced his retirement from inter-county football. International Brennan was included in the squad for the 2015 and 2017 International Rules Series. He scored 1-0-1 in the second test of the 2017 Series, including a first half goal. 1896 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 1896 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the tenth staging of Ireland's premier Gaelic football knock-out competition. It was the first championship in which a goal was worth three points. Limerick won their second, and so far last, title. Billy Lee
Billy Lee is a former Gaelic footballer and former manager of the Limerick county football team. He is from Newcastle West. Player Lee played for Limerick. He became a selector when Liam Kearns managed the team between 1999 and 2005, and then was manager for six years. He won the McGrath Cup and won the National Football League Division 4 title. He got them promoted to Division Two where he left them with a place in the Sam Maguire Cup. He went out on a high when he led Limerick to a Munster Final in 2022. David Clifford
David Clifford (Irish: ''Daithí Ó Clúmháin'') (born 22 January 1999) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays as a corner-forward or full-forward at club level for Fossa and East Kerry and for the Kerry county team. Peter Keane (Gaelic Footballer)
Peter Keane (born 1971) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player who, most recently, managed the Kerry senior football team. As a player, he lined out with South Kerry Championship club St Mary's. Keane is one of nine children. Both of his parents ran the Ringside Rest Hotel in Cahersiveen. His father Tom was a builder who spent time as chairman of the South Kerry board. Peter Keane played football in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He played for St Mary's alongside fellow forward Maurice Fitzgerald. In 1988, the pair won a Kerry under-21 title for South Kerry. However, his county career was limited to minor (1989), county junior (1990) and under-21 (captaining the 1992 team to a Munster title). 2012 Munster Senior Football Championship
The 2012 Munster Senior Football Championship was that year's installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of the Munster GAA. It was won by Cork who defeated Clare in the final. It was Cork's 37th title. This was Clare's first appearance in the final since 2000. The winning Cork team received the Munster Championship Cup, and automatically advanced to the quarter-final stage of the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.
