2020 Monza Formula 3 Round
The 2020 Monza FIA Formula 3 round is a motor racing event held on 5 and 6 September 2020 at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Monza, Italy. It was the penultimate round of the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and ran in support of the 2020 Italian Grand Prix. With Frederik Vesti's win and Oscar Piastri finishing in third in the first race, Prema Racing prematurely secured the teams' championship back-to-back with three races to spare. Entries Sophia Flörsch returned to drive for Campos Racing, with Andreas Estner, her replacement in Spa, returning to the Euroformula Open Championship. Classification Qualifying The Qualifying session took place on 4 September 2020, with Théo Pourchaire setting the fastest laptime of the session. Autodromo Nazionale Di Monza
The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit's biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. With the exception of the 1980 running, the race has been hosted there since 1949. Built in the Royal Villa of Monza park in a woodland setting, the site has three tracks – the Grand Prix track, the Junior track, and a high speed oval track with steep bankings which was left unused for decades and had been decaying until it was restored in the 2010s. The 2020 Spa-Francorchamps FIA Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held on 29 and 30 August 2020 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Stavelot, Belgium. It was the seventh round of the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and ran in support of the 2020 Belgian Grand Prix. Entries Max Fewtrell left Hitech Grand Prix after the Barcelona round. He was replaced by Frenchman and series rookie Pierre-Louis Chovet. At Carlin Buzz Racing, David Schumacher was hired as a full-time driver, leaving Charouz Racing System to replace the German with Michael Belov. Logan Hunter Sargeant (born December 31, 2000) is an American racing driver, who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Carlin. He will compete for Williams Racing in the 2023 Formula One World Championship, having graduated from the Williams Driver Academy. Matteo Nannini (born 10 July 2003) is an Italian- Argentine racing driver who currently competes in Indy NXT for Juncos Hollinger Racing.
