2020 Miami RedHawks Football Team
The 2020 Miami RedHawks football team represented Miami University in the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by seventh-year head coach Chuck Martin and played their home games at Yager Stadium in Oxford, Ohio, as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. Previous season The RedHawks finished the 2019 season 8–6, 6–2 in MAC play to finish as champions of the East Division. They represented the East Division in the MAC Championship Game where they defeated West Division champion Central Michigan to become MAC champions for the first time since 2010. The Mid-American Conference (MAC) is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I collegiate athletic conference with a membership base in the Great Lakes region that stretches from Western New York to Illinois. The Golden Lions were led by first-year head coach Doc Gamble and played their home games at Simmons Bank Field in Pine Bluff, Arkansas as members of the West Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). On July 20, 2020, the Southwestern Athletic Conference announced that it would not play fall sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which includes the football program. Tommy Doyle (born May 6, 1998) is an American football offensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Miami (OH) and was drafted by the Bills in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. UB Stadium
UB Stadium is a stadium in Amherst, New York on the campus of the University at Buffalo. It is primarily used for football, soccer, and track and field events, and is the home field of the Buffalo Bulls. It opened on September 4, 1993, with a game against the University of Maine. The 2020 Buffalo Bulls football team represented the University at Buffalo in the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bulls were led by sixth-year head coach Lance Leipold and played their home games at the University at Buffalo Stadium as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. In a limited season, which was initially canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic before being reinstated, the Bulls finished the season 6–1, 5–0 in MAC play to win the East Division.
