The 2020 Miami FC season was the club's first season following the sale of the franchise rights of the Ottawa Fury FC to ownership in Miami, Florida. The Miami FC is an American professional soccer team based in Miami, Florida that competes in the USL Championship, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. The club began play in the North American Soccer League (NASL) in the 2016 season. Following the demise of the NASL, the club participated in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) before moving to the USL Championship for the 2020 season. Lawrence Olum (born 10 July 1984) is a Kenyan professional footballer who plays as a defender and midfielder. Career College and amateur Olum spent four years playing college soccer at Missouri Baptist University, earning NAIA honorable mention All-America honors three times. After graduating, Olum spent the 2006 season with the St. Louis Lions of the USL Premier Development League, scoring 9 goals in 16 games. Penn FC (formerly the Harrisburg City Islanders) was an American professional soccer team based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Founded in 2003, the team most recently played in the USL Pro, the second tier of the United States soccer league system. In October 2018, the club formally announced it will not participate in the 2019 season and would have resume play in 2020 as a member of USL League One, a league in the third tier.
