2020 LCS Spring Split
The 2020 LCS season was the third year under partnership and eighth overall of the ''League of Legends'' Championship Series (LCS), a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game ''League of Legends''. It was the first year that the league used a double elimination bracket for its playoff format. Championship points and the regional finals were also removed from the World Championship qualification process. The spring split began on January 25 and was scheduled to conclude with the spring finals on April 19; however, due to the spread of COVID-19 in the United States, the season was temporarily suspended on March 13. Four days later, it was announced that the LCS would resume on March 20, with all matches being played online. The summer split began on June 12 and concluded with the summer finals on September 6. League Of Legends Championship Series
The League Championship Series (LCS) is the top level of professional ''League of Legends'' in the United States and Canada. The esports league is run by Riot Games and has ten franchise teams. Each annual season of competition is divided into two splits, spring and summer, which conclude with a double-elimination tournament between the top eight teams. At the end of the season, the winner, runners-up and third-place team of the summer playoffs qualify for the annual ''League of Legends'' World Championship. Philippe Laflamme, better known as Vulcan, is a Canadian professional ''League of Legends'' support for Evil Geniuses, in the League Championship Series (LCS). Previously, Vulcan has played for Cloud9 as well as Clutch Gaming, the team that drafted him. Professional career Clutch Gaming Vulcan was invited to the LCS proving grounds following the 2018 season, in which he showcased his skills, as well as his communication and teamwork. Zven
Jesper Svenningsen (born 24 June 1997), better known as Zven (formerly Niels), is a Danish professional ''League of Legends'' player for Cloud9. He previously played for Team SoloMid, G2 Esports, Origen, and SK Gaming Prime. He had played for Origen and finished at 2015 Worlds semifinals. Then he joined G2 in May 2016 along with Mithy, ahead of the 2016 EU LCS Summer split. Liyu "Cody" Sun ( zh, s=孙立宇; born April 25, 1997) is a Canadian professional ''League of Legends'' player who was most recently the bot laner for Mirage Elyandra of the (LFL). Mid-Season Invitational
The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is an annual ''League of Legends'' tournament hosted by Riot Games since 2015. It is the second most important international ''League of Legends'' tournament aside from the World Championship. In 2015 and 2016, the event featured the Spring Split champions of the five major competitive ''League of Legends'' regional leagues ( LEC, LCS, LCK, LMS, LPL), as well as a wildcard team from a region determined by the International Wildcard Invitational, held a few weeks beforehand.
