2020 Inter-Provincial Cup
The 2020 Inter-Provincial Cup was the eighth edition of the Inter-Provincial Cup, a List A cricket competition that was played in Ireland during September 2020. It was the fourth edition of the competition to be played with List A status. Leinster Lightning were the defending champions. The first two scheduled matches of the tournament, both between North West Warriors and Northern Knights, were abandoned without a ball being bowled due to the weather. The next match saw Leinster Lightning beat Northern Knights by 91 runs, giving them a bonus point to lead the competition at the mid-way point. In the fourth fixture, Leinster Lightning beat North West Warriors by 62 runs, in a rain-affected match. The win, which included a bonus point, was enough to give Leinster an unassailable lead in the tournament, and their seventh consecutive title. Roland Black
Roland Black (born 22 July 1971) is a Northern Irish cricket umpire. He has been an umpire since 2006. He was added to ICC Associate and Affiliate Umpires Panel in 2016. On 14 July 2016 he stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match, between Ireland and Afghanistan. He was initially appointed to stand in the match between the two sides on 10 July, but the match was abandoned due to rain without a ball being bowled. On 5 September 2016 he stood in his first Twenty20 International match, between Ireland and Hong Kong. Duckworth–Lewis–Stern Method
The Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method (DLS) is a mathematical formulation designed to calculate the target score (number of runs needed to win) for the team batting second in a limited overs cricket match interrupted by weather or other circumstances. The method was devised by two English statisticians, Frank Duckworth and Tony Lewis (mathematician), Tony Lewis (not to be confused with former cricketer Tony Lewis), and was formerly known as the Duckworth–Lewis method (D/L). It was introduced in 1997, and adopted officially by the ICC in 1999. Andrew Robert McBrine (born 30 April 1993) is an Irish cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off spin. McBrine is the son of Alexander McBrine and the nephew of James McBrine, both of whom also played cricket for Ireland. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Curtis Campher (born 20 April 1999) is a South African-born Irish cricketer who plays for the Ireland cricket team and Munster Reds. Campher made his international debut for Ireland in June 2020. Malahide
Malahide ( ; ) is an affluent coastal settlement in Fingal, County Dublin, Ireland, situated north of Dublin city.
