Debrecen
Debrecen ( , is Hungary's second-largest city, after Budapest, the regional centre of the Northern Great Plain region and the seat of Hajdú-Bihar County. Anna Seidel (speed Skater)
Anna Seidel (born 31 March 1998) is a German short track speed skater. At the ISU World Cup in Kolomna, Russia, in November 2013, Seidel placed 6th in the A Final of the 1500m event, thereby qualifying for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, where she was the only lady represented Germany in short track. She was officially nominated by the DOSB (German Olympic Committee) on December 18, 2013. Anna Seidel started her sport carrier in athletics. At the age of 9, she started her first short track practice, and in the year 2007, she took part in her first junior competition. She got more success within the following years and ranked 3rd at Europe Cup in March 2013. Arianna Fontana
Arianna Fontana OMRI (born 14 April 1990) is an Italian short track speed skater, who has won eleven Olympic medals among these two gold medals in the 500m short track, one at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and the second one at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Her medal haul following the 2022 Games made her the short track skater with the most Olympic medals. It also made her the Italian sportswoman with the highest number of Winter Olympic medals, one more than Stefania Belmondo. She specializes in the 500 m event. Biography Fontana started skating at the age of four, following in the footsteps of her brother Alessandro, initially on roller skates before switching to ice skating. Lara Van Ruijven
Lara Victoria van Ruijven (; 28 December 1992 10 July 2020) was a Dutch short track speed skater. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, she was part of the Dutch 3000 metres relay team that won a bronze medal. She won gold at the World Championships one year later. By doing so, she became the first Dutch woman to win a world short track title at an individual event. Early life Lara Victoria van Ruijven was born in Naaldwijk (near The Hague) on December 28 1992. She began racing short track when she was six, and her childhood idol was Evgenia Radanova. She studied law at the Open University of the Netherlands and resided in Heerenveen. Natalia Maliszewska (born 16 September 1995) is a Polish short track speed skater. She won silver medal at the 2018 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships and gold medal at the 2019 European Short Track Speed Skating Championships. Career She started her career in short track speed skating in 2007. She made her debut in the 2012-13 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup. Martina Valcepina (born 4 June 1992) is an Italian short-track speed-skater. Her sister Arianna is also a short-track speed skater. Career Valcepina competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics for Italy. She placed fourth in her round one race of the 500 metres, failing to advance, finishing 31st overall. She was also a member of the Italian 3000 metre relay team, which finished fourth in the semi-finals and third in the B Final, ending up sixth overall. Suzanne Schulting
Suzanne Schulting (; born 25 September 1997) is a Dutch short track speed skater who is also active as a long track speed skater. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, she won the Netherlands' first-ever gold medal in short track speed skating and became one of the youngest-ever Dutch Winter Olympic champions. She is also a two-time overall World Champion (2019, 2021) and three-time overall European Champion (2019, 2020, 2021), and the current world record holder for 1000m.
