2020 Baltimore Orioles Season
The 2020 Baltimore Orioles season was the 120th season in Baltimore Orioles franchise history, the 67th in Baltimore, and the 29th at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The season was the Orioles' second under manager Brandon Hyde. They finished the pandemic-shortened season 25–35, their best 60-game stretch since 2017. The Orioles had their highest winning percentage since 2017 when they went 75–87. Despite these improvements, they missed the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season as they were eliminated from playoff contention on September 22. American League East Division
The American League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. MLB consists of an East, Central, and West division for each of its two 15-team leagues, the American League (AL) and National League (NL). This division was created before the start of the season along with the American League West division. Before that time, each league consisted of 10 teams without any divisions. Four of the division's five teams are located in the Eastern United States, with the other team, the Toronto Blue Jays, in Eastern Canada. Nathan Edward Eovaldi ( ; born February 13, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has played in MLB for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox. With the Red Sox, Eovaldi was a World Series champion in 2018 and an All-Star in 2021. Zackary Grant Britton (born December 22, 1987), known professionally as Zach Britton until February 2019, is a professional baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees. 2020 New York Yankees Season
The 2020 New York Yankees season was the 118th season for the New York Yankees. The Yankees played in Yankee Stadium in the city's northern borough of The Bronx and were led by Aaron Boone in his third season as team manager. On March 12, 2020, MLB announced that because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the start of the regular season would be delayed by at least two weeks in addition to the remainder of spring training being cancelled. Four days later, it was announced that the start of the season would be pushed back indefinitely due to the recommendation made by the CDC regarding large public events. The 2020 Miami Marlins season was the 28th season for the Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise in the National League and the 9th as the "Miami" Marlins. The Marlins played their home games at Marlins Park as members of the National League East Division. Cole Young Sulser (born March 12, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB).
