The 6th AEAUSA was held at New Jersey on December 20, 2020 with no live audience due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony was broadcast live on AEAUSA YouTube channel. Nominees were revealed on October 9, 2020. The ceremony seeks to reward excellence in entrepreneurship, community leadership, and the entrainment industry in Africa and the diaspora. The ceremony was sponsored by Empak Corp, and Siderz Entertainment LLC. Faustina Charles Mfinanga (born November 9, 1992), popularly known by her stage name Nandy is a Tanzanian actress, singer and songwriter of Pare heritage, she was born and raised in the city of Moshi in Kilimanjaro Region. She won the All Africa Music Awards twice in the best female artist in East Africa category in 2017 and 2020. R2Bees is a Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife duo from Tema made up of two cousins, Faisal Hakeem and Rashid Mugeez. They were nominated at the 2013 BET Awards. Samuel Adu Frimpong (born 4 April 1994), popularly known as Medikal, is a Ghanaian hip hop musician born to Portia Lamptey and James Frimpong in Sowutuom, a suburb of Accra.
