2020 2nd Spielberg Formula 3 Round
The 2020 2nd Red Bull Ring FIA Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held on 11 and 12 July 2020 at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. It is the second round of the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and ran in support of the 2020 Styrian Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Feature Race The race originally completed 12 laps, however, due to the race being stopped and several incidents occurring prior to the red flag, the race results were counted back to lap 11. The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. Campos Racing
Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. Gené won the championship and García finished fifth, with Campos taking the teams title. Gené stepped up to Formula One in , and his place in the team was taken by karting driver Fernando Alonso. Alonso went on to win the Euro Open Movistar by Nissan as it was renamed, with García finishing fifth again and Campos retaining the teams title. HWA Team
HWA Team, also known as HWA RACELAB, is the auto racing team of HWA AG, a German company based in Affalterbach, that also develops and builds vehicles and components for Mercedes-AMG race cars. It is named after founder Hans-Werner Aufrecht. History HWA was responsible for managing the AMG Mercedes team in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM). HWA AG was founded in 1999, and takes its name from Hans-Werner Aufrecht, who established AMG in 1967. Towards the end of 1998 Aufrecht sold a majority interest in AMG to DaimlerChrysler AG. As part of the process, the motor racing department and parts of the customised vehicles construction business were spun off and transferred to HWA AG. Jake Hughes (born 30 May 1994) is a British racing driver and winner of the inaugural BRDC Formula 4 Championship. He has won multiple races at Formula 3 level, and is set to compete in the 2022–23 Formula E season with Neom McLaren. Career Karting Hughes started his racing career in karting in 2010 at the age of sixteen, finishing eleventh in the Junior Class of the Easykart UK Championship. In 2011, he finished fifth in the Super 1 National Formula KGP Championship. Lukas Dunner (born 12 February 2002) is an Austrian racing driver who currently drives in the Mitropa Rally Cup and DKM for Škoda Motorsport. Matteo Nannini (born 10 July 2003) is an Italian- Argentine racing driver who currently competes in Indy NXT for Juncos Hollinger Racing. His father is a first cousin of former Formula One driver Alessandro Nannini and of singer Gianna Nannini. Maximilian Bradley Fewtrell (born 29 July 1999) is a British former racing driver, and former member of the Renault Sport Academy and 2016 British F4 champion. He competed in the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Hitech Grand Prix alongside Kiwi Liam Lawson and Norwegian Dennis Hauger, having driven for ART Grand Prix in the 2019 season. Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport. Verschoor became the first Dutch driver to win the Macau Grand Prix, winning at his first attempt in 2019. Hitech Grand Prix (formerly known as Hitech Racing) is a British motor racing team. It was founded in 2002 by Dennis Rushen and David Hayle.
