The 2021 Major Arena Soccer League season is the thirteenth season for the league. While there are 17 teams in the league, only 11 opted to play for the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, by mid-season, four more opted not to play, which only left the league with 7 teams playing. Standings Tiebreakers are as follows: Win%, Head to Head, Goal Differential, Wins, Losses. Playoffs Top seed chooses its opponent in the second round, bracket subject to change. The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) is a North American professional indoor soccer league. The MASL features teams playing coast-to-coast in the United States and Mexico. MASL is the highest level of arena soccer in North America. MASL players generally earn salaries ranging from $15,000–45,000 per season, but former USMNT and MLS star Landon Donovan earned as much as $250,000 to play one year in 2019. History The league was organized as the Professional Arena Soccer League on May 18, 2008, as an offshoot of the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier), the largest amateur league in the United States. 2019–20 Major Arena Soccer League Season
The 2019–20 Major Arena Soccer League season is the twelfth season for the league. The league adopted a new format during the offseason, merging the four divisions into two conferences and eliminating the divisional format. On 12 March 2020, the league announced they would end the regular season early due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Florida Tropics SC
Florida Tropics SC is a professional soccer club based in Lakeland, Florida. They are owned by Central Florida Sports Ventures, LLC, led by Dr. Panos Iakovidis, and former USL commissioner and Rochester Rhinos owner Chris Economides. The organization was originally founded in 2015 as a team in the Major Arena Soccer League before expanding into other leagues. The Tropics organization operates three senior teams across two different leagues. The first team is Florida Tropics SC, which plays in the professional Major Arena Soccer League. The Empire Strykers are an American professional indoor soccer team based in Ontario, California. Founded in 2013, the team made its debut in the Professional Arena Soccer League at the start of the 2013–14 season. San Diego Sockers are an American professional indoor soccer franchise playing in the Western Division of the Major Arena Soccer League, representing the San Diego area since 2009. The Sockers first played home games at Chevrolet Del Mar Arena at the Del Mar Fairgrounds adjacent to the Del Mar Racetrack in Del Mar, California.
