2019–20 Stetson Hatters Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Stetson Hatters men's basketball team represents Stetson University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hatters, led by first-year head coach Donnie Jones, play their home games at the Edmunds Center in DeLand, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Previous season The Hatters finished the 2018–19 season 7–24 overall, 3–13 in ASUN play to finish in a tie for 8th place, but after tiebreakers, they missed the ASUN tournament. Following the conclusion of the season, Stetson fired head coach Corey Williams, who finished his time at Stetson with a six-season record of 58 wins and 133 losses. Donnie Jones (basketball)
Donald Isaac Jones Sr. (born July 7, 1966) is an American college basketball coach and former college basketball player. He is currently the men's head basketball coach at Stetson Hatters men's basketball, Stetson University. Prior to Stetson, Jones served as the head coach of the UCF Knights men's basketball team from 2010 to 2016 and at Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball, Marshall from 2007–2010. After spending three years as head coach at Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball, Marshall, amassing a 55–41 record, Jones was hired by UCF after the university decided not to retain Kirk Speraw for the 2010–11 season. Before Marshall, Jones was an assistant with the Florida Gators for 11 seasons, and was hired by Marshall after he helped Billy Donovan coach the Gators to consecutive national championships in 2006 and 2007.
