2019–20 Philadelphia Flyers Season
The 2019–20 Philadelphia Flyers season was the 53rd season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 5, 1967. This is also the first season with head coach Alain Vigneault. The season was suspended by the league officials on March 12, 2020, after several other professional and collegiate sports organizations followed suit as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On May 26, the NHL regular season was officially declared over with the remaining games being cancelled. The Flyers returned to the playoffs after missing them in the 2018–19 season and played in a round-robin tournament, capturing the first seed for the playoffs for the first time since the 1999–2000 season. The Flyers defeated the Montreal Canadiens in the first round, but were defeated in seven games by the New York Islanders in the second round. Metropolitan Division
The National Hockey League's Metropolitan Division (often referred to simply as the "Metro Division") was formed in 2013 as one of the two divisions in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference as part of a league realignment. Jean-François Bérubé
Jean-François "J-F" Bérubé (born July 13, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played with the Charlotte Checkers in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Brian Elliott (born April 9, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). The 1999–2000 Philadelphia Flyers season was the Philadelphia Flyers' 33rd season in the National Hockey League (NHL). One of the most tumultuous seasons in franchise history, the Flyers reached the Eastern Conference Finals, losing in seven games to the New Jersey Devils, blowing a 3-1 series lead in the process.
