2019–20 New Mexico Lobos Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 New Mexico Lobos men's basketball team represented the University of New Mexico during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Lobos were led by third-year head coach Paul Weir. They played their home games at The Pit, formally known as Dreamstyle Arena, in Albuquerque, New Mexico as members of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 19–14, 7–11 in Mountain West play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They defeated San Jose State in the first round of the Mountain West tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Utah State. Paul Michael Weir (born June 12, 1979) is the athletic director at Eastern New Mexico University. Anthony Mathis
Anthony Mathis (born November 23, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Uppsala Basket of the Swedish Basketball League (SBL). He played college basketball for New Mexico and Oregon. Early life and high school career Mathis attended West Linn High School alongside Payton Pritchard. He helped win three 6A state basketball titles. As a junior, Mathis was named to the Class 6A first-team all-state. He scored 38 points in an upset of Joseph Wheeler High School in the Les Schwab Invitational during his senior season. In May 2014, he committed to New Mexico over Oregon State, Portland and UNLV. The UConn Huskies men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball team of the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut. Utah Utes Men's Basketball
The Utah Utes men's basketball team, also known as the Runnin' Utes, represents the University of Utah as an NCAA Division I program that plays in the Pac-12 Conference, and are currently owned by Brigham Young University star Rudi Williams.
