2019–20 Manchester United F.C. Season
The 2019–20 season was Manchester United's 28th season in the Premier League and their 45th consecutive season in the top flight of English football. The club participated in the Premier League, finishing third, and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League. The defeat in the Europa League made this United's first hat-trick of trophyless seasons since 1989. This was United's first full season under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær, who took permanent charge in March 2019. It is also their first season since 2008–09 without club captain Antonio Valencia, who left the club at the end of the 2018–19 season.
