The 2019–20 Liga IV Caraș-Severin was the 52nd season of Liga IV Caraș-Severin, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season is scheduled began on 7 September 2019 and was scheduled to end in June 2020, but was suspended in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania. The season was ended officially on 20 July 2020 and Progresul Ezeriș was crowned as county champion. Liga IV Caraș-Severin
Liga IV Caraș-Severin is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Caraș-Severin County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 15 teams, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. Also, the number of relegated team from the Liga IV – Caraș-Severin is variable and depends on the number of teams relegated from the Liga III. History In 1968, along with the territorial reorganization of the country, but also due to the large number of requests, Romanian Football Federation, FRF proposes a competitive system in which each county has its own football championship, which will activate the former teams in the regional championship as well as the racing and town championship teams from the previous edition. Asociația Fotbal Club Voința Lupac, also known as Voința Lupac, is a Romanian football club based in Lupac, Caraș-Severin County, currently playing in Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system, following their promotion from the Liga IV – Caraș-Severin County in the 2020–21 season. 2019–20 Liga IV
The 2019–20 Liga IV was the 78th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a playoff to gain promotion. This had to be the third season when the counties were divided into 7 regions, each consisting of 6 counties and the draw was made on 15 February 2019, with 4 months before the first matches. In the spring of 2020, most of the county leagues were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 11 May 2020, the Romanian Football Federation announced that the promotion format will be changed, especially due to the fact that no team (apart from the teams that were already excluded or dissolved) relegated from Liga III. The promotion play-off system was changed from 21 two-legged matches in 14 groups of 3 teams, the winners of the groups and the best 7 ranked runners-up will be promoted to the third tier, 14 teams instead of 21.
