2019–20 Liga IV Bucharest
The 2019–20 Liga IV Bucharest was the 52nd season of the Liga IV Bucharest, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 23 August 2019 and was scheduled to end in June 2020, but was suspended in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania. On 15 July 2020, AMF Bucharest (Municipal Football Association) decided to freeze the season and declared the first ranked team after 18 rounds, CSA Steaua București (football), Steaua București, the municipal champion and the participant at the 2019–20 Liga IV, promotion play-off to Liga III. Liga IV Bucharest
Liga IV Bucharest is the municipal association football, football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Bucharest, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 16 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series. History In 1968, along with the territorial reorganization of the country, but also due to the large number of requests, the Romanian Football Federation proposes a competitive system in which each county has its own football championship, which will activate the former teams in the regional championship as well as the racing and town championship teams from the previous edition.
