2019–20 KNVB Cup
The 2019–20 KNVB Cup, for sponsoring reasons officially called the TOTO KNVB Beker, was the 102nd season of the annual Dutch national football cup competition. It commenced on 17 August 2019 with the first of two preliminary rounds and was scheduled to conclude on 19 April 2020, with the final played at De Kuip in Rotterdam. Ajax were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the semi-finals by FC Utrecht. The finalists were set to be Feyenoord and Utrecht but on 24 April 2020, the KNVB Cup was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands. The winners were planned to participate in the 2020 Johan Cruyff Shield against the 2019–20 Eredivisie champions, but due to both the Eredivisie and the KNVB Cup being abandoned, the Johan Cruyff Shield was cancelled as well. De Kuip
Stadion Feijenoord (), more commonly known by its nickname De Kuip (, the Tub), is a stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was completed in 1937. The name is derived from the Feijenoord district in Rotterdam, and from the club with the same name (although the club's name was internationalised to Feyenoord in 1973). The stadium's original capacity was 64,000. In 1949, it was expanded to 69,000, and in 1994 it was converted to a 51,117-seat all-seater. Veenendaal () is a municipality and a town in central Netherlands, located in the province of Utrecht. Veenendaal is the only population centre within its administrative borders. VV DOVO, short for Voetbalvereniging Door Ons Vrienden Opgericht, is a football club from Veenendaal, Netherlands. History The club was founded in 1933 as DVO and later changed its name to DOVO to set itself apart from a nearby club with an identical name.
