2018–19 Cyprus Basketball Division A
The 2018–19 Cyprus Basketball Division A is the 52nd season of the Cyprus Basketball Division A, the top-tier level men's professional basketball league on Cyprus. It started on 13 October 2018. Competition format Eight teams joined the regular season, where after a three-legs round-robin tournament, the four first qualified would join the playoffs for the title. AEL and Omonia promoted from Division 2 while APOP was relegated. Cyprus Basketball Division B
The Cypriot Basketball Division B is currently the second-tier level men's professional basketball competition of the Cypriot basketball league system. It is run and governed by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. Format At present, eight clubs compete in the league. One team (the last one) at the end of the season is promoted to the first division, whilst one team from the first division is relegated. 2020–21 Basketball Champions League
The 2020–21 Basketball Champions League was the 5th season of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), the premier European-wide professional basketball competition for clubs launched and managed by FIBA. The season began on 15 September 2020 and ended on 9 May 2021. San Pablo Burgos won its second consecutive championship, after defeating Pınar Karşıyaka in the final in Nizhny Novgorod. Strovolos ( el, Στρόβολος; tr, Strovolos; hy, Ստրովոլոս) is a municipality of Nicosia District. With a population of nearly 70,000, it is the second most populated municipality in Cyprus, after Limassol, and the most populated municipality of Nicosia District. It was established in 1986. Engomi ( el, Έγκωμη tr, Engomi or Enkomi) is a suburb and municipality of the Cypriot capital Nicosia. In 2011, it had a population of 18,010. Of these, 14,254 were citizens of Cyprus. Paralimni ( el, Παραλίμνι) is a town within the Famagusta District of Cyprus, situated on the island's east coast. Since the Turkish invasion in 1974, it has increased in size and status, primarily due to the migration of refugees fleeing from the north.
