2019–20 Boston College Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Boston College Eagles men's basketball team represented Boston College during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by sixth-year head coach Jim Christian, played their home games at the Conte Forum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Eagles finished the season 13–19, and 7–13 in ACC play. They lost to Notre Dame in the second round of the ACC tournament. The tournament was cancelled before the Quarterfinals due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The NCAA tournament and NIT were also cancelled due to the pandemic. Previous season The Eagles finished the 2018–19 season finished the season 14–17, 5–13 in ACC play to finish in a tie for 11th place. In the ACC tournament they lost in the first round to Pittsburgh. Jim Christian
James Patrick Christian (born February 6, 1965), known professionally as Jim Christian, is an American college basketball coach (sport), coach who most recently served as the head coach of the Boston College Eagles men's basketball, Boston College men's basketball team. He previously held the same position at Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball, Kent State, Texas Christian Horned Frogs men's basketball, TCU and Ohio Bobcats men's basketball, Ohio. On April 25, 2018, Christian signed a two-year contract extension to remain at Boston College through the 2021–22 season. He was relieved of his duties on February 15, 2021. Derryck Thornton
Derryck Andre Thornton Jr. (born May 30, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Leicester Riders of the British Basketball league. He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils, the USC Trojans, and the Boston College Eagles. High school career After attending Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Los Angeles as a freshman, Thornton transferred to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada. As a junior, he averaged 17 points and 6.2 assists per game, leading his team to a 29–3 record. He graduated one year early by taking courses online and at a local junior college. Providence Friars Men's Basketball
The Providence Friars men's basketball team represents Providence College in NCAA Division I competition. They were a founding member of the original Big East Conference from 1979 until 2013, and are now a member of the current Big East Conference. They play their home games at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. Since 2011, the head coach is Ed Cooley. Jordan Reid Chatman (born May 21, 1993) is an American professional basketball player. Chatman played college basketball for Boston College Eagles and Brigham Young University and in high school was named Washington Mr. Basketball in 2012. High school career Chatman grew up in Vancouver, Washington and attended Skyview High School before transferring to Union High School in 2010. The Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball program is a college basketball team that represents the University of Nevada, Reno. The Milwaukee Panthers men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Horizon League for the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.
