2019–20 Bangladesh Championship League
The 2019-20 Bangladesh Championship League was 8th edition of the league since its founded 2012 by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). A total 13 teams would've participated in the league. The league would've commenced from 28 March 2020. On 16 March 2020, Bangladesh Football Federation suspended all competition, including this league, due to the coronavirus pandemic. On 20 May 2020, the Federation and Professional Football League Committee officially cancelled this season of the league. Bangladesh Police FC were the defending champions. Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) is the second-tier football league of Bangladesh run by the Bangladesh Football Federation. It was founded in 2012. The league is also known as TVS Championship League for sponsorship agreements from 2018–19. History Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) introduced the country's first professional football league in 2007. The 2nd tier professional league began with the 2012 season of Premier League. Dhaka Wanderers Club ( bn, ঢাকা ওয়ান্ডারার্স ক্লাব) is a football team from Dhaka, Bangladesh. They are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Bangladesh. The Wanderers dominated the domestic scene during the 1950s and 60s, and were considered to be the one of the biggest clubs in the subcontinent before Bangladesh gained independence. Wanderers have seven domestic league titles and were also the runners-up of the Federation Cup (Bangladesh), Federation Cup in 1987, losing to Mohammedan SC (Dhaka), Mohammedan SC in the finals.
