2019–20 Al-Hilal FC Season
The 2019–20 season was Al-Hilal's 44th consecutive season in the top flight of Saudi football and 62nd year in existence as a football club. The club participated in the Pro League, the King Cup and both the 2019 and the 2020 editions of the AFC Champions League. Al-Hilal also competed in the FIFA Club World Cup following their triumph in the 2019 AFC Champions League Final. The season covers the period from 1 July 2019 to 29 November 2020. In this season, Al Hilal became the first asian club to complete a continental treble since Tokyo Verdy in 1987. Al Hilal Saudi Football Club ( ar, نادي الهلال السعودي), simply known as Al Hilal, is a professional multi-sports club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. AFC Champions League
The AFC Champions League (abbreviated as ACL) is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation, and contested by Asia's top-division football clubs. It is the most prestigious club competition in Asian football, played by the national league champions (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) of their national associations. Introduced in 1967 as the Asian Champion Club Tournament, the competition rebranded and took on its current name in 2002 as a result of the merger between the Asian Club Championship, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup and the Asian Super Cup. Mohammad Al-Shalhoub
Mohammad Bandar Al-Shalhoub ( ar, محمد بندر الشلهوب; born 8 December 1980) is a former Saudi Arabian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for Al Hilal in the Saudi Professional League. A legend of Saudi football, he won 33 trophies with Al Hilal and one title with the Saudi Arabia national team, making him one of the most decorated footballers of all time. On 30 November 2006, Al-Shalhoub came third in the Asian Footballer of the Year award, after eventual winner Khalfan Ibrahim from Qatar and Bader Al-Mutawa from Kuwait.
