2019–20 ACF Fiorentina Season
The 2019–20 ACF Fiorentina season was the 93rd season in the club's history and their 82nd in the top-flight of Italian football. Having finished 16th the previous season, Fiorentina competed in Serie A and in the Coppa Italia. The season was the first one under the new owner Rocco Commisso, who purchased the club in June 2019. ACF Fiorentina
ACF Fiorentina, commonly referred to as Fiorentina (), is an Italian professional football club based in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The original team was founded by a merger in August 1926, while the actual club was refounded in August 2002 following bankruptcy. Fiorentina have played at the top level of Italian football for the majority of their existence; only four clubs have played in more Serie A seasons. Fiorentina has won two Italian Championships, in 1955–56 and again in 1968–69, as well as six Coppa Italia trophies and one Supercoppa Italiana. ACF Fiorentina Youth Sector ( it, Settore Giovanile) comprises the under-19 team and the academy of Italian professional football club ACF Fiorentina. The side currently compete in the Campionato Primavera 1, which they have won three times, and the Coppa Italia Primavera, which they won twice. Additionally, they have won the Supercoppa Primavera three times, most recently in 2022. José Martín Cáceres Silva (; born 7 April 1987) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy and the Uruguay national team.
