This is a list of tank truck explosions. Before 2010 Alcanar, Spain (1978) The Los Alfaques disaster was a tank truck explosion that occurred near a holiday campsite on Tuesday 11 July 1978 in the municipality of Alcanar, Spain, and near the town of Sant Carles de la Ràpita. The exploding truck, which was carrying 23 tons of highly flammable liquefied propylene, killed 215 people and severely burned 200 more. Several individuals from the company that owned the vehicle were prosecuted for criminal negligence. The accident resulted in new legislation in Spain, restricting the transit of vehicles carrying dangerous cargo through populated areas to night time only. 2019 Dengue Outbreak In Pakistan
In Pakistan, in the summer of 2019, more than 47 people have died and more than 30,000 have been infected by Dengue fever. In October, Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of the dengue outbreak in the country and sought report from the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza. On 10 October 2019, a Peshawar High Court bench sent summons to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's provincial health secretary to explain the situation related to dengue outbreak in parts of the province. As of November 2019, record 44,000 cases were reported in the country with 67 deaths. In December the death toll risen to 91 with total number of cases on 52,485. 2019 Sindh HIV Outbreak
2019 Sindh HIV outbreak refers to a Grade II Emergency as declared by the World Health Organization in the Ratodero area of Larkana District, Sindh, Pakistan. It was the first of many outbreaks of HIV in Pakistan in which the majority of those infected were children. By 13 June 2019, at least 798 people including more than 650 children had tested positive for HIV out of the 27,000 people who volunteered for screening. By October 2019, approximately 1,100 people including almost 900 children under 12 had tested positive although the majority of the population still had not been screened at the many temporary testing centers that had been established. By 19 November 2019, there were 895 confirmed cases with 754 being children out of the 37,272 people to have been screened for the virus. Imran Ismail ( ur, ; born 1 January 1966) is a Pakistani businessman and politician from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He served as the 33rd Governor of Sindh from 27 August 2018 to 18 April 2022. Before being appointed Governor of Sindh, he was a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh for a brief period in August 2018.
