Local elections were held in Zamboanga City on May 13, 2019, within the Philippine general election. The voters elected for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, and eight councilors per district. The Government of Zamboanga City, also known as the Zamboanga City Government is the local government unit in-charge of the City of Zamboanga. It is a mayor-council form of government supervised directly by the President of the Philippines and the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government. The city government has three interdependent branches: the legislative branch, the executive branch, and the judicial branch. The powers of the branches are vested by the 1991 Local Government Code of the Philippines in the following: * Local legislative power is vested in a unicameral Sangguniang Panglungsod with the vice-mayor as its presiding officer. * Local executive power is exercised by the government under the leadership of the City Mayor. * Local judicial power is vested in the Regional Trial Court and lower courts. The Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino () is a centre-right political party in the Philippines. There are no results available for the 2004 election for the House of Representatives, but according to the website of the House, the party held 7 out of 235 seats. The party is divided into two factions. 2019 Philippine Local Elections
Local elections in the Philippines were held on May 13, 2019. This was conducted together with the 2019 general election for national positions. All elected positions above the barangay (village) level were disputed. The following positions were disputed: * 81 provincial governorships and vice-governorships * 780 Provincial Board (Sangguniang Panlalawigan) members * 1,634 mayorships and vice mayorships * 13,544 city and municipal councilors (Sangguniang Panlungsod and Sangguniang Bayan) The elective positions in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) were not decided on this day.
