2019 World Wrestling Championships – Men's Freestyle 125 Kg
The men's freestyle 125 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships, and was held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan on 20 and 21 September. This freestyle wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals. Each wrestler who loses to one of the two finalists moves into the repechage, culminating in a pair of bronze medal matches featuring the semifinal losers each facing the remaining repechage opponent from their half of the bracket. Khasanboy Rakhimov is an Uzbekistani freestyle wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 125 kg event at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships but his medal was stripped as he tested positive for a banned substance. Sumit Malik (born 9 January 1993) is a freestyle wrestler from India who competes in 125 kg category. He was gold medallist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. He has also been silver medalist at both the Asian Wrestling Championships and the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in 2017. Dániel Ligeti (born July 31, 1989 in Szombathely) is an amateur Hungarian freestyle wrestler, who competes in the men's super heavyweight category.
