The 2019 World RX of Norway was the fifth round of the sixth season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event was held at the Lånkebanen near Hell, Nord-Trøndelag. LÃ¥nkebanen Map
Lånkebanen is a road racing circuit situated near Hell in Lånke, Stjørdal, Norway. The venue opened in 1987 as the first asphalt track in the country. It is used for a variety of motorsports, including rallycross, go-kart and motorcycle racing. The venue also features a designated hillclimbing and a motocross track on the slopes below, and a harness racing oval. Lånkebanen is owned by the Norwegian Automobile Federation (NAF). The venue also serves the National Driving Teacher School and is used for testing by SINTEF and Q-Free. At an international level the venue is used for rallycross races. Oliver Bennett
Oliver Roy Bennett (born 7 November 1992) is a rallycross driver from Bristol, United Kingdom. He is the co-founder of the Xite Energy drink company, and competes in the FIA World Rallycross Championship and Extreme E for the Xite Energy Racing team. Early career Bennett started his racing career competing in motocross from the age of 8, through to 18 when he competed in the European MX championship. An accident left him unable to continue competition on two wheels so he made the move to four wheels competing in Rallycross. Rallycross In 2016 he made his debut in British Rallycross Championship racing an ex- OSME Ford Fiesta. Jani Paasonen (born 11 April 1975) is a Finnish rally driver. He used to compete in the World Rally Championship (WRC) with Škoda Motorsport. EKS RX
EKS RX is a Swedish auto racing team founded by racing driver Mattias Ekström. The team is competing in FIA World Rallycross Championship since 2014 and entered the team championship in 2015. In January 2017 it was announced that the team would receive full factory support from Audi Sport for the 2017 World Rallycross Championship. The team had previously been run with assistance from Audi Sport's official suppliers. On 29 January 2018, team owner Mattias Ekström announced that he would be leaving the DTM series and concentrating on his World RX team. An announcement two days later confirmed that Andreas Bakkerud would be racing for the team in 2018. After the 2018 season on December 10, EKS announced that it would end its rallycross factory program due to Audi pulling the funding. Guerlain Chicherit (born 20 May 1978 in Paris) is a French rally and rallycross driver, and a professional skier who was four times world champion in freeriding (1999, 2002, 2006 and 2007). Biography He made his professional motorsport debut in the French Rally Cup driving a Citroën Saxo, and after a successful season in 2003 he became an official Citroën driver. In 2006, after winning the 2005 Dakar Challenge, he attended his first Dakar Rally, driving a BMW X3, and won a stage on his way to finishing 9th in the final classification. The Clio Renault Sport (or Clio RS for short) is a hot hatch produced since 1998 by Renault Sport, the high-performance division of French automaker Renault. It is based on the Clio supermini. The engine remained the same since the first Clio RS, a 2.0-litre straight-4 petrol engine, with an FF layout and a three-door hatchback body style. GCK Motorsport, formally known as GC Kompetition, is a subsidiary of Green Corp Konnection (GCK) and a French motorsport team founded by freeriding ski champion, rally driver and stunt driver Guerlain Chicherit in 2017. Kevin Abbring (born 20 January 1989) is a Dutch rally racing driver. His father, Edwin Abbring, is also a well-known former rally driver. Career Abbring started his motorsport career in Rallycross with a 60 bhp strong buggy for newcomers, winning the 2005 and 2006 titles of the Dutch Ford RST series. In 2007 he competed in the Dutch Rally Championship with a Mitsubishi Colt. He also made his World Rally Championship debut in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX.
