The 2019 World RX of Abu Dhabi was the first round of the sixth season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Yaser Bakhtiari ( fa, ياسر بختیاری, born 1982 in Rezvanshahr, Gilan province, Iran) better known by his stage name Yas (), is an Iranian rapper. He wears a Faravahar pendant, a symbol of Iranian nationalism and Zoroastrianism. Andreas Bakkerud (born 10 October 1991) is a rallycross driver from Bergen, Norway. He has competed in the FIA Rallycross Supercar class since 2013 in both Euro RX and World RX, and Nitro Rallycross since 2021. He became European Champion in 2021. Biography Bakkerud won the FIA European Rallycross Championship in the Super1600 category twice, in 2011 and 2012. He entered the FIA European Rallycross Supercar class in 2013 with a private Citroën DS3, finishing fourth with two wins. In 2014 he joined the FIA World Rallycross Championship Supercar class, driving a Ford-supported Olsbergs MSE Fiesta. Reinis Nitišs (born 16 December 1995) is a rallycross driver from Jēkabpils, Latvia. He is the winner of the Super1600 division in the European Rallycross Championship in 2013 and is the youngest event winner in FIA World Rallycross Championship history. Guerlain Chicherit (born 20 May 1978 in Paris) is a French rally and rallycross driver, and a professional skier who was four times world champion in freeriding (1999, 2002, 2006 and 2007). EKS RX is a Swedish auto racing team founded by racing driver Mattias Ekström. The team is competing in FIA World Rallycross Championship since 2014 and entered the team championship in 2015. In January 2017 it was announced that the team would receive full factory support from Audi Sport for the 2017 World Rallycross Championship. The team had previously been run with assistance from Audi Sport's official suppliers. On 29 January 2018, team owner Mattias Ekström announced that he would be leaving the DTM series and concentrating on his World RX team.
