2019 Winter Cup
The 2019 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas from February 15 to February 17, 2019. Competition The competition featured both junior and senior competitive divisions. The finals session featured the top 28 senior athletes and the top 14 junior athletes. Junior athletes advanced to the finals according to the all-around ranking from the first day of competition. All-around ranking and individual event champions were determined via a combined two-day score. Winter Cup
The Winter Cup is an annual winter gymnastics meet for elite artistic gymnasts of the United States. History The first edition of the Winter Cup was held in 1997 and was initially a men's artistic gymnastics competition. Women competed at the event for the first time in 2021. The competition had a combined senior and junior field until 2018. Alec Yoder (born January 21, 1997) is a retired American artistic gymnast. He represented the United States at the 2020 Olympic Games, competing as an individual athlete. He is the 2014 Youth Olympic all-around bronze medalist and the 2019 NCAA champion on pommel horse. Early life Yoder was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 21, 1997, to parents Michael and Rebecca Yoder. He began training in gymnastics at age four when his mother took him to a "mommy and me" class. He began training at Deveau's School of Gymnastics in Fishers, Indiana. Shane Michael Wiskus (born October 1, 1998) is an American artistic gymnast who represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Additionally, he represented the United States at the 2019 World Championships and is a three-time NCAA Champion. Personal life Wiskus was born in Waconia, Minnesota, on October 1, 1998, to Tammy and Mike Wiskus. His sister, Annabelle, has performed with the Minnesota Association of Dance Teams.
