The 2019 season is Washington Spirit's seventh season, competing in the National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in the United States. Washington Spirit
The Washington Spirit is an American professional soccer club based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area that participates in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). It is a continuation of the D.C. United Women of the W-League and continues to field both an amateur WPSL team and a youth team, both under the Spirit name. History Establishment The foundation of the National Women's Soccer League was announced on November 21, 2012, with Washington selected as a host for one of the eight teams selected for the inaugural season. In December 2012, the team's name was announced as the Washington Spirit. D.C. United Women head coach Mike Jorden was kept on as well as assistant coach Cindi Harkes. Amy Harrison
Amy Bianca Harrison (born 21 April 1996) is an Australian international football (soccer) player, who plays for PSV in the Vrouwen Eredivisie and the Australian national team, the Matildas. Club career Sydney FC Harrison signed with Sydney FC of the Australian W-League in 2012. She made her professional debut at 16 years old in a 4–0 victory over Adelaide United. Mallory Leigh Eubanks (born June 4, 1996) is an American soccer forward who played for the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). College career In 2014, Eubanks attended Mississippi State University, where she played for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Impressing her freshman year, Eubanks was named to the SEC All-Freshman team. She would go on to earn additional honors including 2017 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Second Team All-SEC. Her college career saw her earn 70 appearances for the Bulldogs, scoring 8 goals and registering 17 assists. Dorian Josey Bailey (born January 28, 1997) is an American professional soccer midfielder who currently plays for the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Early life Bailey grew up in the Kansas City metropolitan area and went to St. Teresa's Academy. McKenzie Berryhill
McKenzie Marie Berryhill (born March 24, 1993) is an American retired soccer player who played as a defender. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Berryhill was a two-sport athlete at Greenway High School and played four years of college soccer at Arizona State University (ASU). She was named First Team All-Pac-12 Conference as a senior and helped the Sun Devils qualify for the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament. Cali Jean Farquharson (born December 17, 1993) is an American professional Association football, soccer player. Early life Born in Yokota, Japan, Farquharson attended Shadow Mountain High School in Phoenix, Arizona where she was named the most valuable player of the girls' soccer team during her freshman season. Tifanny Janea McCarty (born December 14, 1990) is an American soccer forward who plays for Þór/KA in the Úrvalsdeild kvenna.
