2019 Waratah Cup
The 2019 Waratah Cup was the 17th season of Football NSW's knockout competition. The Preliminary Rounds are now a part of the FFA Cup competition. The 5 winners from the FFA Cup preliminary Seventh Round qualified for the Waratah Cup. The Cup was won by Marconi Stallions, their 2nd title. Format Preliminary rounds New South Wales clubs, other than Northern NSW and A-League clubs, participate in the 2019 FFA Cup via the preliminary rounds. The competition is for all Senior Men's teams of the National Premier Leagues NSW, NPL 2, NPL 3, NSW State League, as well as Association teams which applied to participate. Marconi Stallions FC
Marconi Stallions Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Fairfield, Sydney, New South Wales. The club has been crowned Australian champion four times. The Stallions are the soccer team of Club Marconi, a social and sporting club founded in 1958 by immigrants from Italy who settled in Sydney's western suburbs. It earned promotion to the top tier of soccer in New South Wales and established itself as one of the strongest clubs in Sydney during the 1970s, before becoming a founding member of the National Soccer League in 1977. Marconi was, along with South Melbourne, one of just two clubs to compete in all 27 seasons of the now-defunct National Soccer League. Manly United FC
Manly United Football Club is an Australian association football, football club based in the northern beaches area of Sydney. The club competes in the National Premier Leagues NSW and their home ground is Cromer Park, in the suburb of Dee Why, New South Wales, Dee Why, approximately 15 minutes away from Manly. Marko Jesic (born 7 August 1989 in Fairfield, New South Wales) is an Australian football player of Serbian descent who plays for Marconi Stallions FC. Club career Jesic grew up on the streets of Bossley Park in Sydney's south west and was promoted to the Newcastle Jets A-League squad after playing in the youth league. Jesic is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Sport. Newcastle United Jets Marko started his football career at AIS. Upon his graduation from the Australian Institute of Sport he moved to Newcastle United Jets in 2008. Valentine Sports Park
Valentine Sports Park is an Australian football stadium in Glenwood, a suburb of Sydney. It is the home of Football NSW. The venue received a $22 million transformation and was officially re-opened in March 2015. The impressive facility features five full-sized football fields all aligned to FIFA specifications, including three natural grass fields and two synthetic fields, all of which have lighting, six player change rooms and a multi-purpose indoor sports centre featuring an international full-sized futsal court.
