2019 Tour De L'Avenir
The 2019 Tour de l'Avenir was the 56th edition of the Tour de l'Avenir, a UCI 2.NCup stage race for riders aged 23 or younger. The race consisted of 10 stages. It started on 15 August in Marmande and concluded on 25 August in La Corbière, with Norwegian Tobias Foss winning the general classification. Race overview A total of 153 riders, from 26 teams participated in the race. There were 23 national teams, two regional teams, and one international team. The Canadian team competed at the event for the first time in eight years. The event consisted of mostly hilly and mountainous stages, with one rest day between stages 6 and 7. Stage 2 of the race was a team time trial. British rider Ethan Hayter won stage 3, before withdrawing from the race after breaking his collarbone on the fourth stage. Tobias Foss
Tobias Svendsen Foss (born 25 May 1997 in Vingrom) is a Norwegian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career In July 2019, it was announced that Foss would join UCI WorldTeam on a two-year contract from 2020. In August 2019, Foss became the first Norwegian to win the Tour de l'Avenir. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Giro d'Italia. In 2021 he won the National Championships in the road race and time trial and once again rode the Giro where he placed in the top 10. In 2022, he won a shocking victory in the time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Wollongong, beating out favorites including Stefan Küng, Remco Evenepoel and Filippo Ganna. This also made him the first ever Norwegian to win the title. Fred Wright (cyclist)
Alfred Brockwell Wright (born 13 June 1999) is a British racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Originally from south east London, Wright moved to Manchester at the age of 18 to join the British Cycling Senior Academy, with a focus on the track. In August 2019, Wright joined UCI WorldTeam as a stagiaire for the second half of the season. In November 2019 it was announced that Wright was joining the team, later renamed as for the 2020 season. He was recruited to the team by Rod Ellingworth, the outfit's general manager, who had previously worked for the British Cycling Senior Academy. In April 2020 Wright won stage four of the Giro d'Italia Virtual, held during the Covid-19 crisis that stopped outdoor cycling races. Valley
A valley is an elongated low area often running between Hill, hills or Mountain, mountains, which will typically contain a river or stream running from one end to the other. Col De La Loze
The Col de la Loze is a mountain pass in the French Alps, with an elevation of . A path up the mountain was opened in May 2019, and is the seventh-highest mountain pass in France. The ascent featured in the 2020 Tour de France, as well as in the 2019 Tour de l'Avenir. Geography Col de la Loze is in Les Trois Vallées, at an elevation of . Thomas Pidcock (born 30 July 1999) is a British cyclist who currently competes in the cyclo-cross, mountain bike and road bicycle racing disciplines of the sport for UCI WorldTeam . After a prodigious junior and under-23 career with World Championship victories in all three of these disciplines, Pidcock turned professional in 2021.
