David Pierce (baseball)
David Pierce is an American baseball coach. He is currently the head coach at Texas Longhorns baseball, The University of Texas at Austin. Pierce was named head coach of the Longhorns on June 29, 2016. Assistant coaching history University of Houston Having coached at Rice in 1991 and then in the high school ranks, Pierce rejoined the collegiate coaching ranks at his alma mater, the University of Houston. As the Cougars hitting coach, he helped the team to two postseason tournaments. In 2002 – his second year as an assistant coach – Pierce helped UH reach a 2002 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament#Austin Super Regional, Super Regional. His hitters finished with almost 700 hits and a .310 team batting average, good for 5th in Cougar history. Reckling Park
Reckling Park is the baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA. It serves as the home field of the Rice Owls baseball team. The stadium was built on the site of Cameron Field, Rice's home from 1978–99, in time for the 2000 season. The Owls have hosted 10 NCAA regional and five super regional tournaments at Reckling Park, including one of each in their national championship season of 2003 and in the years of other College World Series appearances, 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008. The stadium was named for its principal donor, former Rice player Tommy Reckling. The nearby Texas Medical Center can be seen from the outfield. 2019 Arkansas Razorbacks Baseball Team
The 2019 Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team represents the University of Arkansas in the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Razorbacks were coached by Dave Van Horn, in his 17th season with the Razorbacks, and played home games at Baum–Walker Stadium. Arkansas ended the 2018 season as runners-up in the College World Series (CWS). Five starting fielders and two starting pitchers from the 2018 team had moved on to professional baseball or graduation. Expectations were high for the 2019 team, picked to finished third in the SEC West and ranked between #12-25 in preseason polls. The 2019 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represented Texas Tech University during the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Red Raiders played their home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park as a member of the Big 12 Conference. The team was led by 7th year head coach Tim Tadlock. Previous season The 2018 team finished the regular season with a 38–15 (15–9) record, finishing in 3rd place in the Big 12. The Red Raiders were eliminated from the Conference tournament in game 3 after a 4–12 loss to West Virginia.
